This privacy policy describes how CrossView, developed and published by NeuralWeaves Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("NeuralWeaves", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects data when you install and use the CrossView app on Atlassian Jira Cloud.
CrossView is built on Atlassian Forge, Atlassian's hosted app platform. All computation and data storage occurs within Atlassian's infrastructure. NeuralWeaves does not operate external servers, databases, or analytics services for CrossView.
Your data never leaves Atlassian's infrastructure. CrossView does not send data to NeuralWeaves or any third party. Data residency follows your Atlassian Cloud instance's region settings.
CrossView stores limited data in Atlassian Forge's Key-Value Store (KVS) to provide its functionality:
| Data type | What is stored | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| User preferences | Atlassian account ID, selected visible columns | Remember each user's column layout between sessions | Until app uninstall |
| Saved views | View name, description, visibility flag, JQL query, filter configuration, column selection, sort order, creator's account ID and display name | Allow users to save and share query configurations | Until deleted by owner or app uninstall |
| Cached ticket data | Jira issue fields (key, summary, status, priority, assignee name, reporter name, dates, project name, custom field values) | Reduce API calls and improve load performance | 5 minutes (auto-expires) |
| Field metadata | Jira field definitions, status names, priority names, project names | Power the column picker and filter UI | 30 minutes (auto-expires) |
CrossView processes the following personal data as defined under GDPR and similar data protection regulations:
Atlassian Account ID — used as a storage key to associate preferences and saved views with the correct user. This is a system identifier provided by Atlassian's platform, not collected directly from users.
User display names — stored alongside saved views to show view ownership (e.g., "Created by Jane Smith"). Display names are fetched from Atlassian's API, not entered by users.
CrossView does not collect, store, or process email addresses, passwords, IP addresses, browser fingerprints, usage analytics, or any data beyond what is described in this policy.
Data stored by CrossView is used exclusively to provide the app's functionality. Preferences and saved views restore each user's dashboard configuration between sessions. Cached ticket data reduces API calls to Jira and improves page load performance. Field metadata populates the column picker and filter value lists.
NeuralWeaves does not use CrossView data for advertising, profiling, analytics, training AI models, or any purpose other than providing the app's described functionality.
CrossView does not share data with any third party. No data is transmitted outside Atlassian's infrastructure. NeuralWeaves personnel cannot access customer data stored in Forge KVS through any production tool or administrative interface.
When a user creates a "public" saved view within CrossView, that view's configuration becomes visible to other users within the same Atlassian site. This is an explicit user action clearly indicated in the UI.
CrossView relies on Atlassian Forge's security infrastructure:
Encryption at rest: All data stored in Forge KVS is encrypted at rest by Atlassian.
Encryption in transit: All communication between CrossView's frontend and backend uses Atlassian's encrypted channels.
Access control: CrossView uses Atlassian's built-in authentication and authorization. Users can only access data their Jira permissions allow.
Isolation: Forge provides tenant isolation — data from one Atlassian site is never accessible to another site.
When CrossView is uninstalled from an Atlassian site, all data stored by the app in Forge KVS is deleted by Atlassian's platform.
Users can delete their own saved views through the CrossView UI at any time. Deleting a view removes it from both the user's private storage and the shared view index.
Under GDPR and similar regulations, users have the right to request access to or deletion of their personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support.marketplace@neuralweaves.com. We will respond within 30 days.
CrossView requests the following Atlassian API scopes:
| Scope | Purpose |
|---|---|
| read:jira-work | Read Jira issues, projects, statuses, priorities, and fields to populate the cross-project dashboard |
| read:jira-user | Read user display names for assignee/reporter columns and saved view ownership |
| storage:app | Store and retrieve user preferences, saved views, and cached data in Forge KVS |
CrossView uses read-only Jira scopes. It does not create, modify, or delete any Jira issues, projects, or configurations.
CrossView is a business productivity tool designed for use within Atlassian Jira Cloud. It is not directed at children under the age of 16 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in CrossView's functionality or applicable regulations. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the Atlassian Marketplace listing.
